Georgia brings over 30+ years of extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, with a specialized focus on vaccines and oncology. Her expertise spans several critical areas, including Quality Operations, Global Quality Systems and Compliance, Manufacturing and Technical Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Board of Health (BOH) Inspection Management, and External Supply Management.
As the Senior Director of Global Quality Systems at BMS, Georgia led the Quality Integration efforts with Celgene including the divestiture of key products and management of deliverables to ensure compliance and achievement of key milestone. Prior to the acquisition of Celgene, Georgia played a key role in implementing best-in-class solutions across the GxP functions including Risk Management, Laboratory and Document Management, Deviations Management, and Complaints. She was instrumental in developing the global roadmap and portfolio for electronic systems across the organization.
Prior to Celgene, Georgia held the role of Site Head of Audits and Compliance at Pfizer, where she managed compliance operations across the site. This included overseeing BOH Audit and Inspection management, Quality Governance Councils, and global supplier management processes. Georgia also led successful PAI efforts for Pfizer’s oncology business, contributing to the licensing of their Mylotarg® manufacturing facility. Additionally, she served as the Quality lead for the Hospira/Pfizer integration.
Earlier in her career at Pfizer, Georgia was the Director of Quality Assurance, overseeing the quality aspects of drug substance and formulation for the next-generation pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, Prevnar 13®. Her responsibilities encompassed product development oversight, analytical method approval, validation, stability studies, manufacturing, specifications, and commercialization. Georgia also has significant experience working with key suppliers, contract laboratories, CMOs, and in closed system and sterile filling technologies.
Georgia holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from St. Thomas Aquinas College. She is an active member of the PDA Metro Chapter, NJPQCA, and HBA, and has presented on topics related to Regulatory Compliance and Auditing.
