Mr. Harmon is an experienced life sciences professional with specialization in finance and strategy and a technical background in molecular biology and biotechnology with a focus on drug development and the biomanufacturing process. As a Senior Consultant at LBG, he leads the day-to-day aspects of strategic finance projects, conducts financial modeling and analysis, supports the technical review of new life sciences products, and manages non-dilutive and commercially funded programs across the product lifecycle for innovative products, including manufacturing platforms, biologics, small molecules, and drug delivery devices.
Prior to joining LBG, Mr. Harmon had a wide variety of experience in the life sciences industry, including research in an academic neurodevelopmental genetics lab and at a start-up specializing in drug lead discovery, strategic business support in portfolio and program management at a large-cap biotechnology company, and project/knowledge management at a top pharmaceutical company. In addition, he has more than eight years of experience in operations management and logistics, including comprehensive process improvement methodologies, and he provided transaction support as a Due Diligence Analyst with NC State University’s Wolfpack Investor Network (WIN), an angel investing platform and co-investment fund (the Seed Capital Endowment Fund). His expertise is focused on business strategy, financial and program management, and technology commercialization.
Mr. Harmon received an MBA in Finance, an M.S. in Biotechnology, and a B.S. in Molecular Biology. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Six Sigma Black Belt Professional (SSBBP®).
